After Star Trek: Discovery secured an early renewal last month, co-showrunner Michelle Paradise took to Twitter to announce that production has officially begun on the upcoming fourth season of the hit sci-fi series. Star Trek: Discovery is currently airing its third season with episode 3.04 titled “Forget Me Not,” scheduled to premiere tomorrow on CBS All Access.

CBS is taking another shot at adapting the German police procedural dramedy Einstein, this time with major changes to the original concept. The 2017 German series was a police procedural dramedy about the unknown great-great-grandson of Albert Einstein, a theoretical physics professor, who helps the police in solving murder cases.
CBS All Access is rounding out the cast for Season 2 of its original anthology series Why Women Kill. Lana Parrilla (The Tax Collector), B.K. Cannon (Sin City Saints) Jordane Christie (The Haunting of Hill House), Matthew Daddario (Shadowhunters) and Veronica Falcón (Queen of the South) join previously announced Allison Tolman and Nick Frost.
CBS All Access hopes to put another maniac on the floor. The streaming service is developing a series adaptation of Flashdance, the 1983 film that launched Jennifer Beals’ career. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the reboot will follow a young Black woman “with ballet dreams and a strip club reality.”
Reggie Lee, who recurred heavily on the first season of All Rise, has been promoted to a one-year series regular on the upcoming second season of the CBS legal drama. Lee plays Head DDA Thomas Choi, Mark Callan (Wilson Bethel) and Luke Watkins (J. Alex Brinson) strict but fair boss.
CBS All Access has set the voice cast for The Harper House, its upcoming adult animated comedy series from China, IL creator Brad Neely, Katie Krentz (Star Trek: Lower Decks), CBS Television Studios and 219 Productions. Rhea Seehorn (Better Call Saul), Jason Lee (My Name Is Earl), Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black) and newcomer Ryan Flynn.
CBS has put into development This Is Our Year, a single-camera comedy co-created by Chelsea Devantez and Barbie Adler. The project comes from 20th Television. It is believed to be the studio’s first sale to CBS since it was acquired by Disney. Devantez is writing the script for the project.
The first look at the trailer and key art for the CBS All Access limited-event series The Stand was unveiled today at the virtual New York Comic Con. A panel devoted to the series brought together cast members Whoopi Goldberg, James Marsden, Greg Kinnear, Odessa Young, Jovan Adepo, Amber Heard, and Owen Teague.
Three and a half years after her Blue Bloods exit, Amy Carlson is returning to CBS with a recurring role on the upcoming second season of FBI: Most Wanted. She is one of two major new recurring additions to the Wolf Entertainment series, along with Lost alum Terry O’Quinn.
