The original Quantum Leap aired for five seasons on NBC from 1989-1993. Scott Bakula starred as Dr. Sam Beckett, who found himself leaping from life to life, striving to put right what once went wrong.

Serving as a sequel series to the original Quantum Leap, the new version takes place 30 years after Dr. Sam Beckett stepped into the “quantum leap accelerator” and vanished. Now a new team has been assembled to restart the project in the hopes of understanding the mysteries behind the machine and the man who created it.

Casting: Kapil Talwalkar Joins *Night Court* Sequel

Based on the original series created by Reinhold Weege, the multi-camera Night Court centers on unapologetic optimist judge Abby Stone, the daughter of the late Harry Stone, who follows in her father’s footsteps as she presides over the night shift of a Manhattan arraignment court and tries to bring order to its crew of oddballs and cynics.

Good Girls has been canceled after four seasons on NBC. With five remaining episodes, the Secret Service closes in the main characters’ counterfeit ring. Attention All Shoppers ‘Superstore’ Canceled

Cloud 9 is closing for good as NBC’s Superstore is coming to an end with its sixth season. The network is ending the show after this current run – taking the total number of episodes of the single-camera comedy to 113. It comes after America Ferrera departed the show earlier this season.

Universal Television Alternative Studios Moves Under Universal Studio Group Umbrella Following Meredith Ahr’s Departure

Universal Television Alternative Studios, the division responsible for shows including The Wall and World of Dance, has become part of the Pearlena Igbokwe-run Universal Studio Group. The move, which becomes official today, follows the departure of Meredith Ahr, who was President of NBC Entertainment’s Alternative and Reality Group, and who oversaw the non-scripted studio.

‘Dr. Death’ Joshua Jackson Replacing Jamie Dornan

Joshua Jackson (Little Fires Everywhere, The Affair) has been tapped for the title role in Peacock’s Dr. Death. He will star opposite Alec Baldwin and Christian Slater in the UCP-produced limited series based on the hit Wondery podcast of the same name. Jackson replaces Jamie Dornan, who was cast in the role in August 2019.
